Health

Health is a priority objective due to the very high incidence of infant and maternal mortality. Our doctors and nurses provide basic health care in the prisons, garbage dumps, mines and shantytowns.

Results

• Free medical care, health centers and pharmacies in the prisons of San Sebastian, San Antonio; distribution of medicines in all the prisons.

• Construction of 3 dispensaries in Machacamarca, Kara Kara and Potosi.

• Establishment of a mobile dispensary to service the shantytowns in Cochabamba and in the Province of Potosi.

• Program for mistreated children; treatment and family therapy for abused children.

• Care centers established in all the projects make it possible to hold several campaigns concerning family planning, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and alcoholism.
